When We Are Closed
When the surgery is closed, if you or a member of your household would like to see a GP or Nurse, then please feel free to go to the Crawley Health Centre which is by the bus station, close to McDonalds. They have a drop in service without appointment and are open from 8 am to 8 pm seven days a week.
If you have had an injury or accident please go to the Urgent Treatment Centre at Crawley Hospital unless you need to ring 999 for an ambulance.
Alternatively the Practice uses Harmoni, the Out of Hours Service, sponsored by NHS West Sussex. If you require urgent medical advice or treatment out of normal Surgery hours, please telephone 0844 4771813 and you will then be able to connect to the out of hours service or you can telephone them directly on 0300 130 1313. Please remember that this is only for serious medical problems. Please do not always expect a home visit. It is likely that you will be asked to attend an out of hours centre.
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
